The New York Times ran a piece today by Julia Moskin on the perceived and actual challenges pregnant women face if and when drinking wine socially during pregnancy. The only clinical studies on drinking while pregnant are on excessive (i.e. 5 drinks a day) drinkers. No real data exist for the light (e.g. a drink with dinner) drinker. It’s worth a read for some perspective on societal mores with regards to this topic.
