Interesting article in today’s WSJ about how French wine-makers are reaching out to China to exploit what is still a very much an untapped market. I especially like the quote about a Chinese business man buying an ’82 Lafite, only to then mix it with Coke!

    A brazen theft in Atherton, California of 450 bottles of a private collection have left police puzzled and residents speechless. One of the more memorable quotes to me:

  • “If you drink a bottle of a ’61 Bordeaux every five years and somebody swipes it, you’re not going to be happy. You can’t replace it. Wine is a very personal thing.”
